Video: Climbing K2 - The Mountaineers Mountain
In the coming weeks we'll be hearing a lot of news coming out of Pakistan in regards to the summer climbing season there. As indicated earlier today, teams have already begun to gather in Islambad and are now en route to the mountains they'll be climbing in the days ahead. Amongst them is the fearsome K2, perhaps the most difficult mountain in the world to climb. As an introduction to that very challenging peak, I came across the video below which sheds some insights into what makes K2 the "Savage Mountain" and gives us a glimpse of the challenges that climbers face when they go there. At 52 minutes in length, this isn't a quick watch but it is definitely a good one for anyone who wants to know more about this mountain.
