Video: Sean Leary's Passion For Base Jumping

This past weekend it was discovered that climber and Base jumper Sean Leary had died in an accident in Zion National Park, where he was attempting to wingsuit off some of the impressive cliffs found there. For Sean, Base Jumping and wingsuit flying were some of his passions, and that shows through in the video below from EpicTV, in which he and fellow pilots Charley Kurlinkus and Jeff Shapiro, were plotting out some big jumps in North America, where the sport is still trying to get a foothold.

My condolences go out to Sean's friends and family. He will be missed.

Video: Another Look At Angels Landing In Zion National Park

A few weeks back I posted a great video of Angels Landing in Zion National Park, sharing a glimpse of what that great hike has to offer. The video below shares even more of that impressive trail, which appears to be a "must-do" for anyone who loves to hike, particularly in a national park. It is a beautiful setting, with an adrenaline inducing view.

Video: Hiking Angels Landing In Zion National Park

Angels Landing is easily one of the most popular hiking trails in Zion National Park. The five-mile long route offers stunning views throughout the walk, but the trail is very narrow, making it a fun, but sometimes scary endeavor. The video below gives you a taste of that, as well as a glimpse of what to expect when you visit Zion itself.

Video: Alex Honnold On Half Dome And Moonlight Buttress

Apparently free climber Alex Honnold has a new sponsor in the form of BALL Watches. The video below is a commercial for the company but mostly features Alex climbing on Moonlight Buttress iN Zion National Park and Half Dome in Yosemite of course. It's more amazing footage of Alex doing what he does best, namely climbing big walls with the use of rope.

Some of the shots are down right scary. I'm not sure how his mom lets him get away with this stuff.

Video: White Southwest Timelapse

It has been awhile since we've had a really good timelapse video to grab our attention. This one arrives just in time, giving us a glimpse of the American southwest with some light snow to provide a nice contrast to the normal landscapes. This is the first timelapse effort from from filmmaker Zhuokang Jia and was shot in Arches, Canyonlands and Zion National Parks, amongst numuerous other spectacular places.

Simply beautiful!
